New drugs Asentar treat prostate cancer
British scientists have successfully researched a new synthetic vitamin D called Asentar (DN-101) that effectively treats prostate cancer. This drug is about 100 times higher in vitamin D than other prostate cancer drugs currently on the market.

According to Birmingham University scientists, vitamin D is effective in treating damaged cells and preventing self-replicating cancer cells, especially prostate cancer and breast cancer.
This Asentar (DN-101) drug will be produced by Novacea, the US pharmaceutical company and marketed in 2009.
Asentar drugs (DN-101) are used to treat early stage prostate cancer patients and combine with chemotherapy treatments.
Prostate cancer patients will take an Asentar tablet once a week for three weeks each month, combined with another commonly used treatment drug.
According to GS. Nick James, Asentar drug (DN-101) has about 100 times higher vitamin D content than the prostate cancer remedy in the market.
He added that Asentar (DN-101) has produced quite satisfactory results during the experimental stages. Patients with early prostate cancer treated with this Asentar (DN-101) drug lasted 18 months longer than untreated patients.
There is one more person in the UK now dying from this prostate cancer every hour.
