New phone application reduces traffic accidents

Sprint has announced a new smartphone application that prevents users from sending text messages and making or receiving phone calls to avoid distractions while driving.

This app is called Sprint Drive First , available with Android OS devices and will soon have other operating systems.

Sprint Drive First automatically activates when the carrier is moving at more than 10 mph, determined by the GPS device system.

Sprint said the device uses technology that ensures there is no impact on the phone's battery.

Although text messages are prohibited for all drivers in 34 states of the United States and the state of Columbia. But it is a problem in the whole country.
