New technology connects all electronics in 2014

By 2014, more than 1 billion devices will be activated Digital Life Network (DLNA) technology.

These products will support digital wireless transmission between different consumer electronics products or between different products. Manufacturers of consumer goods such as mobile phones, Blu-ray players, TVs, laptops, video games and personal computers are integrating this technology into their devices.

DLNA is currently the standard that more than 250 well-known brands accept, enabling consumers to share and use multimedia files such as videos, documents, music and compatible photos.

According to a company report studying the market of In-Stat DLNA-installed devices, portable transceivers, PCs, digital TVs account for 74% of the DLNA market.

Meanwhile, digital photo frames will be the fastest growing product in the future. In-Stat forecasts that more than 33 million digital photo frames will ship in 2014, up nearly 1 million units from 2009.

According to Norm Bogen, an analyst with In-Stat, the use of UPnP and DLNA is far greater than just developing it on Windows 7 in the PC.

Handheld transceivers, digital TVs in conjunction with PCs are product segments that may increase significantly in DLNA orders annually over the next 5 years.

Although the number of global connected devices appears on the market today is increasing, but most consumers are not aware of the benefits that this technology gives themselves.
