Nguyen Ngoc Hung and the

It is not the pain of standing and lecturing, but the teacher can still guide theory and practice for a computer class of 40 students with completely different parts . That's thanks to the 'machine . teaching ' by Nguyen Ngoc Hung (Soc Trang town, Soc Trang province).

Hung graduated from the 5th class of Can Tho University, Can Tho University and used to work as a lecturer at Hau Giang University at a very young age. In 1990, Hung was sent to Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics by the University of Economics.

Those were the days when Hung was 'scouring' a computer. In 1994, Hung successfully created a feather sorter and the electronic tank helped light in fluorescent lamps not be "disco" when the power was weak.

Hung recalls: 'I lost my sleep to make a feather sorter but the salary was only VND 30,000. As for the electronic tank, the partner paid with . one and a half gold. '

After failing with a few estimates, Hung quit teaching. In 1996, Hung set up an electronic repair and computer repair facility. At this time in Soc Trang, people who were good at computers could only count on their fingers, so Hung began to think about going back to being a teacher by teaching computers in a way . 'tutor'.

With the support of friends' capital, Hung opened a computer teaching facility on Le Hong Phong street, Soc Trang town. His daily work always turned dark in the early morning until midnight. 'That's why I think I have to create a teaching machine' - Hung said.

With that idea, Hung plunged into researching materials and consulting software to build a system for teaching.

His solution is to combine self-made hardware and software with the aim of transmitting images, sound, controlling students' computers remotely, and exchanging information between teachers and students.

In the two years of teaching and research, Hung finally came up with an ASIS (Auto Study Interactive System) automatic interactive learning model. So he did not hesitate to embark on 'making' a 'teaching machine' with a total investment of nearly 200 million dong.

Hung said: 'Thanks to the two-way sound system, when there are questions that students only need to press the button, the signal light in the control unit will flash, and through the server, the teacher will connect to give change and guide outside students'.

Following this model, Hung's lectures were programmed in the machine. Students can enter his premises to study at any time.'Just open the device, students can both listen to the theory and apply the exercise solution. Any piece that you don't understand can return the tape to listen to it many times, and if necessary, exchange it online with the teacher sitting inside, ' Hung explained.

In addition to teaching information, Hung used this teaching machine to teach English to hundreds of young people and achieved many initial successes.
