Paris prepares WiFi coverage for the entire city
Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe said on July 5 that the entire city will be covered with Wi-Fi at the end of next year.
In addition, according to Mr. Bertrand Delanoe, companies installing fiber optic cable in the city will receive tax reduction. Paris is hoping to have about 80% of cities covered with fiber optic networks by the end of this decade.
Access to the Wi-Fi network in Paris will be completely free and maintained by private companies. Access points will be located in public areas and libraries.
Next weekend, the project to build a complete city network of Paris will be approved for the last time.
