According to Dailymail, the incident occurred on September 18 on Aer Lingus' flight from Lisbon, Portugal to Dublin, Ireland. A young man (24 years old) suddenly becomes agitated and bites a passenger.

The plane is forced to redirect to Cork, Ireland airport. Young men are then controlled and fall into unconscious state. According to some sources, the young man went alone on the plane, not Irish but may be studying here.

Aer Lingus describes the incident as a ' medical emergency'.

'Aer Lingus' EL 485 flight number from Lisbon to Dublin redirects to Cork airport for an emergency medical case. 168 passengers and 6 crew members were present on that time slot. The plane landed safely around 17h40 '(local time)' , according to Aer Lingus's statement.

Currently, it is unclear why male passengers died. 168 passengers and 6 crew members were escorted out of the plane and held for interrogation.
