Museum Leymebamba, Peru has just exhibited more than 200 mummies from Chachapoyas culture.
The show took place last Saturday. Chachapoyas is a tribe living in the Amazon jungle. This tribe is characterized by white skin, blond hair, tall stature.
It is assumed that their ancestors came from Europe. Thanks to their superior talent, the empire of the Chachapoyas tribe has expanded into the Andes since 800 to 1500 years.
The entire historical record of Chachapoyas's existence was almost erased after the Incas invaded. The name Chachapoyas was set by the Incas, meaning 'the cloudy warrior', because the tribe was always hiding in the thick forests of the mountain year round.
For conservation, mummies are wrapped in cloth.
