Photo finder with face recognition software

Picture 1 of Photo finder with face recognition software While Google Image of the world's leading search service can only collect and display results based on file names, Riya's technology is able to get information right in that image.

Munjah Shah, Managing Director of Riya, said the limited trial service is equipped with facial and character recognition technology to produce more accurate and rich results.

However, people will have to download the tool at Riya's site and run it on a Windows computer. After that, the software will index all photos saved in the hard drive and uploaded to Riya server. "The more you provide images of an individual, the more effective the program is ," said Azhar Khan, co-founder of Riya.

Users of Riya's free service can choose to post images in individual (Private), Public (Public) modes or only allow certain users to enter (Selectively public).

Shah hopes the company's revenue will increase thanks to advertising profits on the site. Identification technology seems to attract the attention of many other services such as making friends. Last year, the tech community predicted that Google was about to buy Riya, but Shah refused to mention the topic.

In the future, technology will allow searching images on the web, but Shah recommends that web images often have low quality and resolution so the accuracy will not be really high.
