From the waste source on the island, through biogas plants with biogas and biogas generators, two products are electricity and organic fertilizer.

Phu Quoc is an island district, so pulling the national grid to the island is difficult to implement.

Currently, each year the State compensates for Phu Quoc's loss of about 23 billion dong of electricity, while the investment fund for a power plant from waste is about 2.5 million euros (equivalent to 50 billion dong).

With the amount of waste on the island more than 15,000 tons / year, if there is no timely solution, the risk of environmental pollution is very large and will affect the development of tourism.

Therefore, the construction of a power generation plant from garbage in Phu Quoc island district is very necessary and highly feasible.
