Planning for conservation of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park

The Prime Minister has just signed Decision No. 2235 / QD-TTg, approving the general planning task of building Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh) until 2025 on the total area of ​​the construction planning area. about 40,860ha.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction to organize the planning. The planning time is 18 months after the task is approved.

The mission of the plan is to research and develop the space of functional areas of the national park, ensuring favorable conditions for the zoning organization to build the exploitation as well as conservation management, while having a coherent connection. and smooth communication between functional areas as well as between national parks and external infrastructure networks.

In addition, the plan is also responsible for organizing the space of rural residential areas, meeting the requirements of improving living conditions while maintaining the identity of the ethnic groups in the region; propose to organize the space of central areas and the system of tourist exploitation routes and points.

Previously, in 2003, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park was recognized as a world natural heritage by UNESCO.

Currently, this national park has become a key tourist area of ​​national and international significance.
