To help those who forget to bring their umbrellas down the street, the Russian designer Mikhail Belyaev devises a type of umbrella attached to a street lamp that can automatically spread when it rains.

Belyaev's automatic lamp unit, which includes an electric motor, can automatically close or extend. The sensors help the umbrella spread out when it rains and recovers when it stops.

In addition, a 360-degree motion sensor functions to detect if someone is using the umbrella to prevent rain. After 3 minutes without people, the cell will automatically close.

Auto-close does not detect a user.

The designer said he came up with the idea after seeing many people get wet while walking on a street in Russia for not having enough rain.

Each umbrella has a diameter of 2.2m, enough for some shelters at the same time. The cell is mounted at a height of 2m above the ground, so it does not entangle even tall people.

There is no plan to mass production of Lampbrella umbrellas. Belyaev said that he recently presented the idea to the Mosow city government, claiming that his product was suitable for all pedestrians.
