Rare moment: Baboon attacks crocodile, rescues its fellow

Witnessing their fellow baboons being attacked, dozens of baboons joined forces to fight off the dangerous enemy .

Crocodiles are known as the kings of the swamps because of their dominance in shallow waters, making most animals afraid to confront them. However, crocodiles are not always successful in taking down their prey.

During a visit to the Kwando Lebala Conservancy in the Bwabwata National Park , Botswana, Craig Beal captured an extremely rare scene in the wildlife world. It was the moment a troop of baboons attacked a crocodile to rescue their fellow baboons .

The video begins with a baboon struggling desperately in the middle of a river. Its hind legs are caught in the jaws of a crocodile. On the bank, a troop of at least 10 baboons stand watching its every move.

It seemed like the unfortunate monkey would lose its life to the "king of the swamp". However, with extraordinary and tireless efforts, it crawled step by step towards the shore in the hope of being rescued by the pack.

Not disappointing the expectations, the monkeys immediately rushed over. They continuously scratched and bit to put pressure on the crocodile, at the same time dragging the injured monkey away from the danger zone.

After a few minutes of struggling, the baboon finally won and crawled to the shore. This helped the baboons see the danger and quickly attack the predator to rescue their fellow baboons.

Many comments on the video said that the monkey was very lucky to have help from its fellow monkeys. Otherwise, it would almost certainly have died in the face of its enemies.

The monkeys rushed down to rescue their teammates.
