The statue was taken from 3 sides and sent to the neighborhood to identify. Soon, a mother realized that it was her son's image, born in 1925 and missing since 1949.

Since this incident, Gerasimov's method of restoring the human face to the skull has been recognized and confirmed as a reliable criminal engineering measure. In the following years, with this method, he also helped the security agency to build many corpses to investigate victims and find the effective enemy.
