Recreate the poet Dante's face after 700 years

Italian scientists have re-created the face of the world-famous poet Dante after 700 years of his death and found many unexpected pleasures, especially the shape of the poet's famous nose.

They used precise measuring methods, computer technology and forensic techniques to recreate each muscle on Dante's face with plaster, plastic and many other materials. They also recreate wrinkles, eyebrows and even a purple burgundy head cover.

The face of the poet was recreated based on Dante's skull figures made by Professor Fabio Frassetto in 1921. Mr. Frassetto used precise methods and secretly reconstructed Dante's skull with plaster , when the skull was removed from the tomb in Ravenna, Italy. The local government at that time forbade molding of Dante's statue because it was considered an insult.

On January 11, anthropologist Professor Giorgio Gruppioni of the University of Bologna, Italy, said the project to reconstruct Dante's face discovered that he had a different face than a straight and pointed nose. Everyone is familiar. But with a new face, Dante has a shorter and more rounded nose. His face was newly recreated, which could be controversial, but this is the most accurate work on Dante's face. He looks like an ordinary person on the street and is closer to us.

Italian Dante, Angel comedy author - one of the greatest literary works at the beginning of the Renaissance. Many artists painted and sculpted Dante's face, but according to historians, most of these works were shown after Dante died in 1321 and inserted many of their own emotions.
