According to Ta Cong Thuan, Director of the company, GPS navigation system has been used in many countries but never in Vietnam. While at the current taxi centers, the driver only contacts the center via the radio, the new system can know exactly which car nearest to the reception, helping drivers save the fuel. G.Track always updates the status, location, speed of each vehicle and alerts the central emergency when needed .

The system consists of the following devices: G.Link is mounted on the vehicle to collect data from the satellite and sent to the center via radio waves; G.Store updates and stores state-of-transit information; G.Master, located at the operating center, is responsible for receiving and decrypting data from the attached G.Link media; G.Map - software map display area monitoring vehicle; and G.Control - software that downloads information received from G.Master to a data warehouse, retrieves stored information, prints media status reports, and schedules several parameters for G.Link. .

Mr. Thuan said G.Track system is not only applied to cars but also boats and trains. The system was completed in September 2005 and was tested on digital map provided by Ho Chi Minh City Polytechnic.
