Robocon 2010: Critical creativity

Yesterday, right on the first day of starting the 2010 Robocon Qualifying Round in the South at the Rach Mieu Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City, the participating teams showed the difference in creativity and . the investment of the house. school

Among the 86 teams of 19 colleges, universities in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Can Tho, attended the regional qualifiers in the South this year, with the team being 'supported by the teeth', but there were also the participating teams. pocket money.

Unlike previous years, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Technology this year only selected two excellent teams in the idea contest to be the core of the school. These two teams are funded by the school with over 50 million dong per team. At this cost, the members who do not have to contribute any additional items will also complete four 'top' robots. In addition, the school has also added a small amount of money to build the yard to the card teams before going to the tournament.

MSc Nguyen Ba Thuan, in charge of the robocon movement of Lac Hong University (Dong Nai), said: from the beginning of the school year, the school has launched a movement to all classes. Up to 14 teams attended, the school still spent about 17 million VND on each team, which is considered a relatively high level. In addition, the school also makes a proper training ground and supports machines and tools for the teams to get the best conditions for the robocon playground. In order for the teams to have enough 'war' experience, the school organizes three school-level competitions for teams, with a total prize pool of no less than 10 million VND each time.

Meanwhile, Ta Thanh Tuan, member of OPTIMUS team (Can Tho University) said: 'To reach this playground, each member must contribute no less than four million dong. MSc Vo Tan Thong, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said: the support level of the school for students depends on the idea and success of the teams in school-level competitions.'We do not aim to have as many teams as possible to see the robocon competition as a science playground for you to grow up,' he said.

Even HCM City Industrial University, which has a tradition of playing on this playground, also advocated this year not to strongly support the participating team. Lecturer Nguyen Thanh Dang of this school said: 'The school only provides support for the training teams'.

Regarding the Robocon 2010 competition, Dr. Le Hoai Quoc, Head of the Jury, said: 'This year's playground emphasizes the creativity of students, the school's interest should be reflected in funding support and workshops. There are more conditions for you to design, do not intervene too deeply in technology but lose the criteria of the competition '.

Speaking like that, Dr. Le Hoai Quoc would like to 'remind' some teams last year to copy each other's ideas and emphasize the 'students' in this competition. Recalling the 2009 qualifying robocon competition, ending the southern area representative, a University of LH robocon member revealed: this school's robocon was designed by . engineers, then only for transport students. onions.
