This weekend, Tiro will become the first robot in the world to host a wedding in Korea.
According to robot maker Hanool, Tiro will host the wedding of engineer Seok Gyeong-Jae and his bride on Sunday in Daejeon (130 km south of Seoul). The groom is also one of the participants in Tiro.

After finishing the wedding ceremony, 'Tiro will be improved to be able to use for various purposes,' said Kim Dae-Hyun, a leader of Hanool.
According to Kim, letting a robotic MC make a wedding does not seem to be romantic, so they designed for the wedding, Tiro would say in a pretty sweet voice. The price of this special MC is about 200 million won (215,053 USD). Many other robots will also be used to guide guests and show their fun at the wedding.
In Korea, robots are designed to perform a variety of tasks, many of which are complex tasks. Last month, a newspaper reported that a robot named Ofro would be put on guard at a school, and is believed to be the world's first school guard robot.
Earlier, in September 2006, Korean government officials unveiled a high-tech robot that could be deployed to guard the border with the DPRK.
