Wan Xiaojun, a professor at Beijing University, China, is building a robot that can write complete articles in just one second, Express said Jan. 23.
A robot named Xiao Nan has just completed a 300-word article about the flow of people returning home during the Lunar New Year in China. The article was later published in the Southern Metropolis Daily.
"Xiao Nan has the ability to better analyze data and write articles faster than reporters, so it is worrying that robots can replace their work , " Xiaojun said.
However, he said the robot could not make live interviews, as well as writing articles in the form of interviews or dialogues.
"Robots are just complementary tools, supporting the press and the media," Xiaojun said.
