Mr. Truong Ngoc Chuan, Head of the Forest Protection Department of Phu Cat district (Binh Dinh province), said that in the morning (November 1), Mr. Diep Van Nien (Dai Khoan village, Cat Lam commune, Phu Cat district) had brought to the County. District forest rangers submit 1 gray-shanked douc langur. The district FPD has carried out procedures to receive and prepare to transfer to Cuc Phuong National Park.
This gray-shanked douc langur (female) is bought by Mr. Diep Van Nien of a group of young people (unknown names) at 23g on October 31, 2006. When he buys, the langur is in a state of injury on the right foot. He used medicine to cover the wound and take good care of it so that he could eat the banana fruit.
This is the second langur discovered in Phu Cat district, rescued and handed over to authorities within the past 15 days. Thus, up to now, in Binh Dinh province, Cuc Phuong National Park has been discovered and transferred to 17 rare and precious langurs recorded in this International Red Book.
