Seating chairs prevent students from mischief
A teacher in the UK has designed a type of student seat that can not be tilted back, hoping to help students stay calm, avoid unfortunate accidents and make the lessons more fluid.
Tom Wates has given up his London teacher position to design a chair called Max to stop students from getting involved in class. "The reason I came up with this idea was because I was very upset when students just sat back and leaned back," said Tom Wates. "Students may collapse and the class laughs, then you have to start the lesson again," said math and physical education teacher.
The Max chair is more supportive at the lower back, forcing the students to sit upright and at the same time, the rear legs of the couch slide outward, making it impossible to overturn. Thus, the chair will not be able to rotate backwards or backwards.
In the UK, about 7,000 students are admitted to the hospital each year due to injuries due to sitting and reclining.
The chair is available in blue, red, green, black and white, priced at £ 15, suitable for all ages.
