According to Brian Hogg, a historical conservation specialist at the University of Virginia Architecture Office, the lab is hidden for decades, possibly by Jefferson and John Emmet's first natural history professor. next.

The room is a chemical stove, part of the early years of science, founded around 1822-1826.
