After graduating from university, the young engineer did not apply to work at big and well-known units but returned to Khanh Hoi Sugar Factory under the Sugarcane Union II Company.

About Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Tien Cuong and his colleagues at Department of Applied Chemistry have released HUMIC extraction line from peat which is widely used to stimulate natural growth for plants and animals.

To do that product, Master Hoang Tien Cuong and his colleagues encountered many difficulties. 'At that time, supplies were not available, so we worked backwards, which meant changing designs according to what we found out of the market; It's like 'making your feet fit . your shoes'.

In 1992, he moved to work for companies in the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
