And these houses have received the 2008 International Housing Awards by the Social Housing Construction Foundation, which is sponsored by the United Nations Settlement Program.

The storm-resistant houses according to safety standards built in TT-Hue have simple design and construction techniques, plus the price is only 3-5% higher than normal houses. with people in remote, coastal and lagoon areas at risk of damage caused by storms.

Storm resistant houses must be built in accordance with 10 standards, ensuring that the foundation, wall, roof and cover structures are all linked and anchored to each other, doors and doors. The book must fit, enough, lock to lock, brace, and plant trees around the house to block the wind. In fact, if built according to a standard storm-resistant house, the cost is only 3-5% higher than the normal house, which is very suitable for the lagoon and coastal areas.

The project to prevent and mitigate housing damage caused by storms in Central Vietnam (DW) has supported the construction of 450 new houses; support 950 reinforcement houses for poor people and build 65 small and medium public works such as kindergartens, health stations, community houses. Organizing technical training to build a safe house to avoid storms for local masons and engineers, as well as people in low-lying and flood-prone areas. The completed works not only contribute to stabilizing the local socio-economic life, but also the key to creating a sense of disaster prevention for all people.

The effectiveness of the construction of storm-resistant houses has been proved through the storms and floods in TT-Hue area, the houses which are implemented properly in Phong Dien, Quang Dien, Phu Vang and Phu Loc districts are safe. overcome storms. With the investment of funds not too large to have a safe house, the local people have learned and built thousands of houses according to the standards of storm control.
