The animal is crawling on the hand of a man. Notably, once this guy touches the head of the animal, it spits out mucus like silk. Its silk is milky white, spewing out like the roots of a tree.

After just one day of posting, the clip about this strange creature has attracted up to 5.3 million views and thousands of comments. According to Earth Touch News, this creature is a ribbon worm (scientific name is Nemertea), belonging to the invertebrate phylum. According to recorded scientific literature, there are about 1,000 species of ribbon worms with different lengths. For the most part, they are less than 20cm long.

Most ribbon worms are found on the ocean floor, but a few other species live in fresh water and on land. It often spits out a white, root-like mucus to grab its prey. In quite horror but its mucus is completely non-toxic.

In Vietnam, this animal is also known by the name Ha su, sheath beetle. They are often used as bait for sea fishing.
