" When we were taking guests to Serengeti, we were introduced by this local guide to this giraffe, he knew it for five years," said Mark Drysdale.

As explained by the local guide, the deer broke his neck after a battle about 5-6 years ago and received no medical care.

" This is the first time I saw an animal that was so severely deformed but still healthy," Mark said. He has been a wildlife photographer and tour guide for 8 years.

Male giraffes occasionally have intense confrontations to fight for the attention of their children. They stand side by side and shove to prove themselves the strongest. If the neck is broken, the animal usually does not keep its life. However, this deer has demonstrated a strong survival instinct , continuing to live for 5 years in a wild environment.

According to the Telegraph, the deer on the Masai species, the tallest animal on earth, the male height can reach more than 5.7 m. Even though he had an abnormally deformed neck, it was still treated perfectly by the same kind. Animals also appear to be quite happy in their natural habitat.

Usually, males will take food from above by stretching the length of the neck. The injured deer no longer has that ability and adapts by eating in the low canopy.
