This salt mine was formed 250 million years ago, under the seabed, as a rock salt material. When the sea is shallow it leaves a large cave with a huge amount of salt.

While exploiting an ancient salt mine, Iranian miners accidentally discovered many thousands of year-old mummies preserved intact.
