cold air intensifies

From the morning of January 2, many roads and streets in the capital of Hanoi and some provinces in the North were sunk in a dense fog, making foresight to be limited.

Mau Son (Lang Son) this morning had the lowest temperature of only 2 degrees Celsius, some other places below 10 degrees Celsius such as Sa Pa (Lao Cai) and Dong Van (Ha Giang).

According to the Central Hydrometeorological Center, there is a cold air section in the North moving south.

This morning, the intensified cold air covered the whole North, the daytime temperature dropped about 5 degrees Celsius, the lowest in the mountains to below 12 degrees.

In the evening and tonight (March 9), an additional cold air component will intensify to the Northern provinces, making this area maintain a low heat and cold weather.

In the next 2-3 hours, some areas in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai are likely to continue to have very heavy rain with an amount of 80-100mm.
