Sweeping the ear with a cotton swab (or other objects) will push the earwax deeper into the inside, causing the eardrum to not vibrate effectively and damage the hearing.

The two heads of cotton swabs must have a sufficient amount of cotton, smooth, white and stick to the tip of the stick. Toothpicks need good elasticity, not too hard.
