In bed-ridden patients, medical staff often rotate their positions so that they are not in a position for too long, resulting in long-term skin sores. However, this job is not easy, especially with large patients, and there are not always enough staff to do the job change.
From this fact, Michael Sauter has created a smart bed that can mimic the movements of a healthy person while sleeping.
According to Gizmag , if the patient is lying for a long time in a posture, the bed will move gently to change the position through the special mattress on a flexible wooden frame. This wooden frame is made of special materials that can be adjusted as needed.
This bed is being tested in clinics and hospitals. It is expected to be available in the Swiss market later this year.
