The flag of the Russian Navy will be posted on the ISS

The new expedition's flight to the International Space Station was scheduled for November 24 from Baikonur space airport.

Anton Shkaplerov, a Russian astronaut in the crew of an international crew flying to the ISS Space Station on 11/24, will hang the Andreevsky flag, the traditional flag of the Russian Navy in his cabin.

He announced this in a press conference. The flight of the new expedition to the International Space Station was scheduled for November 24 from Baikonur Cosmodrome. Estimated time of flight is 169 days.

Among members of the delegation are astronauts Anton Shkaplerov, Samantha Cristoforetti (Italy) and Terry Vёrts (USA). In the operation of the new astronaut on the ISS station, Russia does not plan to walk out into space but will carry out an extensive scientific research program, Shkaplerov said. In total, the ISS station will carry out more than 200 scientific experiments, including foreign part of the program, he said.

For his part, his colleague, American astronaut Terry Verts said that the US space-based walks with the main task are preparing to receive new vehicles. In addition, maintenance operations will be performed on the surface of the ISS.
