An Indian girl could not eat but only drink milk, tea and water to live. From birth, she could not eat food in solid form because she would vomit immediately.
Currently, Manju Dharra (25 years old, in Sonipat, near New Delhi) lives by drinking 4 to 5 liters of milk a day, sometimes tea, butter and water. She suffers from Achalasia , eating solid foods such as bread, sandwiches . will vomit right away.
Manju's mother, Bhagwati Dharra, said: 'My daughter only drinks milk, tea, water and some kinds of juice. If you eat things in solid form, it will immediately vomit. ' Manju is slightly higher than the average height of Indian women. She undertakes household chores such as embroidery and sewing. Manju's health is quite good, except for stomach pain from a young age.

Bhagwati didn't know anything about her problem until she was 2 years old. At this time, the mother tried to train her children to eat rice and bread but the baby just cried, even fell ill. At first, Bhagwati only thought he was picky or stubborn. Later, she began to realize that it seemed to be a symptom of illness.
The family took her daughter to many doctors to try the treatments but it was useless. They do not have the financial capacity to do surgery. Finally, the family bought a cow to raise milk for Manju to drink.
Dharra's father, Ramkanwar Dharra, works as a bricklayer, saying: ' Our economic condition is not enough for our daughter to continue going to school. My family has 8 children. Manju has 2 brothers, 5 sisters. All family members are healthy, only Manju suffers from this condition. '
Doctor - Pediatrician Adarsh Sharma, from Jaipur, said Dharra's condition could be treated with an operation. Families need to seek expert advice. The doctor explained, Achalasia occurs when the esophagus loses the ability to transfer food to the stomach because the esophageal valve on the bottom of the esophagus does not open to receive food going down the stomach. So the food gets stuck in the esophagus, and it will go up and cause vomiting.
According to the normal structure, the esophagus has a muscle ring called mind that opens the function when the food comes close to it, and closes when food enters the stomach to prevent acid reflux. Normally, the mind acts when you swallow food to bring it into your stomach. But when a person suffers from Achalasia, this muscle acts abnormally and results in food blocking in the esophagus. Surgery is the only treatment for this disease.
