The tomb was discovered in 2016.
The burial ground of Khentkaus III, an ancient Egyptian Queen , was discovered in the Abusir urban area, southwest of Cairo, from the tomb of her husband Pharaoh Neferefre - also known as Reneferef - in 2016.
Professor Miroslav Barta, who led the archaeological team, said archaeologists discovered pottery, woodwork, copper and animal bones inside the Queen's tomb.
These items, along with the inscriptions on it, provide clues about the life that Khentkaus III lived and even more. It shows that the life of Khentkaus III was not flashy when the period she lived, ancient Egypt faced difficulties piling up. Political difficulties plus climate change played a role in ending not only the ancient Egyptian empire but also many powerful empires in the Middle East and Western Europe at the time.
This tomb contains many mysteries.
"You can see many similarities with our present world, which is also facing many internal and external challenges. By studying the past, you can learn more about the present. "We are no different from them," said Professor Barta, about what had once caused Egypt to collapse.
