The longest mountain range - Andes Mountains

The Andes Mountains in South America are the longest mountain ranges in the world. It is located close to the Pacific Ocean, the North begins from Trinida Island, south to Tierra del Fuego Island, parallel to other mountain ranges 9,000km long. Andes range goes through 7 countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

The majestic Andes mountain range has an average altitude of 3,900m, with many tops above 6,000m high, the highest being Aconcagua about 6,964m.

The Andes range formed relatively late. It is located in the Pacific earthquake and volcano, the earth's crust is active and volcanic. Cotopaxi volcano in the North is active, often spraying fire. Tupungato volcano of 6.800m is the highest active volcano in the world. Aconcagua's peak is also the world's most inactive volcano. The two south-eastern slopes have many modern glaciers and glacial lakes, and many mountain springs have been built at the foot of the mountain. In the volcanic region sprayed daytime white clouds like cotton, at night the flaming light of the sky, extremely magnificent scenery.

The Andes mountains distribute dense forests, which are an important source of water for the Amazon River. Rich reserves of oil, copper, tin, gold and silver. Famous animals here are camels and zebras.

The Aconcagua peak is about 6,964 meters tall and is also the world's most inactive volcano.
