The Mozambique Strait, located between Southeast Africa and Madagascar, is 1670km long and is the longest strait in the world.

According to geologists, more than 100 million years ago, Madagascar was one block with Africa. Later geological changes caused the west of the island to collapse to form this narrow and narrow strait. The average width of the strait is 450km, the widest point is the North of 960km. The deepest point is 3,533m, just under the Drake Strait (Passage). Large ships can easily travel from the Persian Gulf to Europe, South America and North America. Large tankers pass through this strait, passing through the Cape of Good Hope. The Mozambique Strait becomes an important sea route between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean.

The Mozambique Strait is located in the tropics. The Mozambique hot spring flows from North to South, where it is hot and rainy throughout the year. In the sea with many corals, the Comoros archipelago and Maputo port are very important positions.
