"I was sitting next to the port and then the sea lion raised my head out of the water right in front. I could barely pull my phone and start filming. At first it was just a peaceful sight when the sea lion swam along the circle, performing in front of the guests, but then the scene became really dramatic.

Sea lions are often thought to be timid, but there are reports of aggressive attacks on humans. Males became fierce when they gained the right to mate with females. Usually, they are considered highly social, very intelligent, so they can learn many entertaining things.

Frankie Hobro, aquarium director Anglesey Sea Zoo in northern Wales, said sea lions are very strong animals with strong teeth. The sea lion that caused the accident could treat people as a threat and react to self-defense or maybe it just frolicked, there is no way to ascertain it.

"Their teeth are similar to those of dogs or bears. You have to be very careful. People think they can get close to them but if bitten, you may be in danger by bacteria on the teeth. You should not assume that you can interact with them because they can be very aggressive , " Hobro recommends.

"They can come close to people and be friendly but it is difficult to distinguish between playful and offensive behavior. Marine animals should be treated like wild animals instead of pets , " Hobro said.
