The submarine hybrid yacht has a range of more than 11,000km

The Deep Sea Dreamer ship has an estimated construction cost of about 250 million USD, can run on water, dive close to the water surface or go down to a depth of 100m.

American designer Steve Kozloff introduced a new hybrid submarine yacht concept called Deep Sea Dreamer , Design Boom reported on March 30. The ship has two decks, can carry a total of 6 people and promises unprecedented underwater experiences.

Deep Sea Dreamer is 33m long, made of sturdy steel, with a total living area inside of 140m2 . The ship has many large windows and a forward observation room, allowing passengers to enjoy impressive views of the ocean while diving. On the second deck there is also an observation room with large recliners that allow passengers to enjoy the view in a relaxed state. Passengers can move easily between decks thanks to watertight elevators or ladder tubes.

Deep Sea Dreamer is equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system consisting of two Cummins engines , one electric motor and 10 directional thrusters. This vehicle can operate like a normal yacht when floating on the water and only needs to drop anchor to dock. On longer trips, the ship can sail just below the water's surface, where weather conditions do not affect passengers, thereby increasing travel efficiency and range. In this case, the ship's snorkel column will play the role of providing fresh air and exhausting exhaust gases.

Kozloff's yacht can dive to a maximum depth of 100m. If using all electricity and making no noise, the train can run 161 km. It is capable of anchoring on the seabed for up to 7 days and operates on batteries.

Deep Sea Dreamer's maximum speed is 18.5km/h, while cruise speed is 11km/h, achieved in a semi-submerged state. The estimated operating range of the ship is 11,112km, equivalent to an operating time of about 42 days at a speed of 11km/h. Kozloff emphasized that this is not a train designed to prioritize speed, instead, it is aimed at relaxation. The cost of building the ship is expected to be about 250 million USD.
