The UN sends ambassadors to contact aliens

The United Nations can designate a space ambassador whose mission is to bridge in the case of extraterrestrials trying to relate to us.

It is expected that Ms Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, will be given the task of contacting aliens if they want to contact humans on Earth. Ms. Mazlan Othman will officially accept the new assignment at a Royal Society of Science meeting held in Buckinghamshire this week.

Currently, Ms. Othman is the Director of the United Nations Office on Cosmic Issues (UNOOSA). The 58-year-old female scientist said recently that there have been hundreds of new planets discovered in the universe, so the ability to find outsiders is becoming more grounded.

However, members of the United Nations Scientific Advisory Committee said that the appointment of Mazlan Othman as an extraterrestrial ambassador should be discussed and approved by the United Nations General Assembly. .
