The US Postal Service (USPS) will for the first time issue a special ink stamp to mark the total solar eclipse going on August 21, according to 11 Alive. This phenomenon can be observed in many parts of the United States.

According to the design of Antonio Alcalá in Alexandria, Virginia, the total eclipse image on the stamp will turn into the Moon when exposed to human body temperature, reappearing when the heat is lost. This total solar eclipse was recorded by the resident physicist Fred Espenak of Portal, Arizona in Jalu, Libya in 2006.

According to USPS, the "transformation" stamp should be preserved where there is no direct light because of the use of UV-sensitive inks. A special envelope to protect the stamp will be sold from June 20 at the event to celebrate the summer solstice at the Art Museum of the University of Wyoming, Laramie City.
