The strange task that American soldiers in Germany received in the 1970s was to demolish a tunnel under a hotel to eliminate the White Lady ghost.

The Grafenwöhr base was a major garrison of the US Army in Bavaria, Germany after 1945. Located 16 km east of the base, Freihung town is famous for the legend of the ghost of Die Weisse Frau (Quarterly). White Lady) , a dead noble in the castle in the middle of town, is now Gasthof Alte Post.
