The Grafenwöhr base was a major garrison of the US Army in Bavaria, Germany after 1945. Located 16 km east of the base, Freihung town is famous for the legend of the ghost of Die Weisse Frau (Quarterly). White Lady) , a dead noble in the castle in the middle of town, is now Gasthof Alte Post.

No one knew the details of the White Lady's death but the people believed that the ghost still struggled in the town, and many saw her in the tunnels beneath the Hotel Gasthof Alte Post, The Drive reported on the day. October 31.

Rumors that were too influential in the business made the owner of the Gasthof Alte Post in the 1970s ask for help from the US army. American soldiers from Grafenwöhr base came to the hotel, filled with explosives into the tunnels and knocked them down. The US Army did not explain why the owner of Gasthof Alte Post had asked the force to "demolish the ghost pit" instead of asking local authorities to support or hire civil contractors.

But the mission seems to be ineffective. According to the information room of the Grafenwöhr base, the story of the White Lady still spreads in the town so far. People still said ghosts waved the drivers to ask for a ride and disappeared when the driver looked at the rear seats through the rearview mirror.
