The Vikings found America before Columbus?

New discoveries about Vikings can make world history rewritten.

Historically, Christopher Columbus was the first European to find America. But the new finding, led by an American archaeologist Sarah Parcak's research team, shows evidence that North Europeans had explored North America before the time of Christopher Columbus (pre-Colombo period).

This study shows that the Vikings arrived in America before Christopher Columbus explorer for 500 years and established small villages along the North Atlantic coast. Traces of their daily lives were discovered at L'Anse Aux Meadows, in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador in Canada.

Using satellite images, Mrs. Parcak's team discovered a strange change in the landscape at this L'Anse Aux Meadows archaeological site, as the soil is degraded and the vegetation changes. So they think there must be something important below the ground.

The team then excavated the area and found that the structure seems to be the same size and shape as the pre-Columbian pre-Columbian houses in North America.

The team found a large yard, which may have been used for many community activities, as well as houses and warehouses.

The researchers discovered very few artifacts in the area, which really reinforced their hypothesis that the Vikings were present only at some points here. This was because the Vikings had a habit of only settling settlements for a very short time and then moving away.

The discovery of the area, opening up the possibility that Vikings were there, Ms. Parcak said. This excavation area could be an iron metallurgy facility, part of a larger settlement, the end of a Viking voyage or just a break before the discovery journeys. Other areas have not been discovered.

Parcak said history books may soon have to be edited due to the possibility of this new discovery.

The pre-Colombo period covered all stages of the history and history of the Americas before being significantly influenced by Europe. In a narrow sense, this term means a period before Christopher Columbus set foot in America in 1492.

The Vikings were Northern explorers, merchants, warriors, pirates in the late Stone Age, in Scandinavia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. People often refer to Vikings as mobile warriors on ships or pirates, but they are also good traders. Especially they go to the beach very well. Viking pirates sailed around Europe and the North Atlantic in long boats, raiding looting, conquering the majority of the rich lands in Europe, and settling into occupied lands. . The Viking era began around the end of the 8th century and lasted until the middle of the 11th century.
