The 'weird' shapes continue to appear on Mars

Mars Elephant. This photo was taken with a high-quality imaging camera placed on NASA's spy ship. The ancient lava flow in the second largest volcanic region on Mars is shaped like an elephant's head.

Rolling Stone Logo. This photo captures a crater on Mars. The image of lava flow from volcanoes, flowing down a steep slope reminds us of the logo of the famous Rock Rock group Rolling Stone.

Flower Mars. The Curiosity probe captured the image of a rather strange object attached to the stone. When zoomed in, this object makes one think of a flower. Scientists believe that the image is due to the light-colored minerals, not the Martian orchids as many speculate.

Smiling face volcano. The Galle crater was discovered by the Viking I spacecraft in the 1970s and in 1999, the Mars probe captured this image, with two eyes and a mouth made of mountains and rocks.

Mars parrot. Large mounds of Mars created the shape of a parrot.

Imaginary image. This photo was taken in 2008 by the Opportunity ship. This is an image of a part of rock rising in Victoria volcano area. The sharp corners of the stone created an image quite similar to Pharaoh's and a spaceship.

Bigfoot people on Mars. A stone on Mars makes people think of the image of the mysterious giant BigFoot on Earth. Unfortunately, this giant is only 6cm tall.

Tree on Mars. When these photos were first published, many people mistakenly thought they were trees on Mars. In fact, these are the flows of dark materials on sand dunes.

Mouse on Mars. A Martian stone has a shape that makes many people mistakenly see a mouse on Mars.

The faces of Mars. This image was taken in 1976 by the Viking I probe. These faces are essentially hills located in the Cydonia area on Mars.
