Tim Webb, 57, from England, caught the Siamese carp weighing more than 100kg at the lake in Ban Pong district, Ratchaburi province, Thailand, reported on September 29.Siamese carp are the largest carp in the world and often appear in Asian rivers.

Webb uses bread and rice bran as bait. After that, he struggled for 90 minutes to bring the fish ashore.

"I know this is a special fish as soon as it bite. I have been very hard for a long time, like I was pulling a small car. There are times when I think about surrendering but in the end I am pull it ashore, " Webb recounted.

The weighing results showed that the fish weighed over 100kg, breaking the record of nearly 70kg heavy carp caught by Brit Andy Harman in Thailand earlier this year. Webb was delighted with his trophy and decided to buy the fish from the lake owner to transfer to his aquarium at Palm Tree Lagoon eco resort, Ratchaburi province. He had to ask six helpers to lift the carp onto the truck.

"It's great to be able to take it to my lake. Giant fish can attract a lot of attention. People will want to come here and try to catch it," Webb said.
