This little 'monster' is holding the secret of immortality of humanity
Hydra is not aging. It can be said that no one has ever seen Hydra ever grow old.
Have you ever heard about the body of lobster and jellyfish that can be immortalized? Today, you will be aware of another species, although 'small with martial arts', it is the 'freshwater monster': the water of Hydra.
This isn't a top-level Hydra monster, capable of growing two heads every time a head is cut in Greek mythology. This Hydra is a tiny aquatic species, only about 10mm long. So why say this tiny animal is holding the secret of immortality?
Simple! Hydra is not aging. It can be said that no one has ever seen Hydra ever grow old.

You must be curious why Hydra is not getting old. It is a fairly simple principle that can be applied to humans: Hydra is capable of reproducing their dead cells.
In particular, the arrangement of stem cells in the body of Hydra has helped them to reproduce themselves. Their stem cells can divide and transform into any cell Hydra needs. This means they always have a new cell supply. Thanks to that, the Hydra didn't naturally die.
Stem cells of many other species, even humans, have the same ability. However, often when cells divide like that, they will later degenerate and lose their ability to divide; but Hydra cells are not like that, they are not degenerated.
Hydra has the ability to regenerate their dead cells.
Scientists conducted a study: they brought Hydra to 'heaven'. In other words, they put Hydra in an extremely ideal environment; Here, they are not starved, and no animals threaten their lives. For eight years, they watched to see if the Hydra was aging. As time goes by, Hydra's death rate remains the same, meaning that they cannot die due to old age. This shows that their cells are not weakened.
This is not a subjective opinion of a certain scientist. Daniel Martinez, a biologist at Pomona University, has twice tried to prove that Hydra is aging. The result: he failed both times. Now he also believes that if placed in ideal conditions, the Hydra will be immortal.
And this must be the "secret" of immortal life that people always seek. Hydra can regenerate cells without degenerating, if our human beings do that, we will also be immortal.
Not only at that experiment, funny scientists also tried to make Hydra grow "heads" that moved all over its body. Now it looks like the Hydra monster in Greek mythology!
The "heads" grow from Hydra's body.
