Meteors will fly across Earth at a distance of 56 thousand kilometers today.

At first, this meteorite was symbolized as 2012 KP24 , discovered on May 23. After 12 observations, its exact trajectory was determined. The calculations show that 2012 KP24 belongs to the type of meteorite in the Apollo family, its orbit crosses the orbit of Mars. It belongs to two-thirds of known meteors, approaching the Earth.

According to astronomers at 16:18 GMT today, the 2012 KP24 meteorite will hit Earth, our planet's 0.00037 astronomical units, converted into 56.04 thousand kilometers. According to their assessment, meteorite diameters range from 11 to 36 meters.

This object will return to Earth again on October 28 this year but next time fly farther away from Earth, the way we are 0.43 astronomical, or 64 million kilometers.
