Treasure in the ancient city of Cambodia
Experts say there may be a huge treasure in high mounds, believed to be ancient tombs, and dozens of temples in the 1,200-year-old city of Mahendraparvata recently discovered in Cambodia.

The photo taken by Lidar shows the Buddha image carved on the cliff of the old city.
Although it is still unable to reach the area, located deep in the Phnom Kulen forest area in Siem Riep, but the archaeological delegation of the University of Sydney, Australia still see clearly the images of temples, roads and canals thanks to Lidar laser technology combining satellite positioning and digital imaging).
However, experts do not dare to confirm the exact area of the old city or they have found the whole Mahendraparvata or only part.
There are still many questions that need to be answered and before touching the city, the archaeological group only publishes drips of information and images.
According to experts, Mahendraparvata has contact with Angkor Wat but was built before this project to 350 years.
