Tropical depressions are forming, possibly threatening Saigon
The tropical convergence band can be strengthened into a tropical depression, even into a storm, directly affecting Ho Chi Minh City and the South.
On October 27, the Central Hydrometeorological Center said that the tropical convergence zone (wind convergence zone) is located in the South Central and Southern regions.
This is the reason for the region between the South China Sea (including the Spratly waters), the sea from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau will have heavy rain and thunderstorms; wind to level 7, rough sea, high waves 1.5-2.5 m.
The vortex that appears outside the sea is likely to intensify into a tropical depression.(Photo: earth.nullschool.net).
By tomorrow, the tropical convergence band will be able to form a low pressure area right on the Truong Sa archipelago waters, which can then be strengthened into a tropical depression and adversely affect the weather of the southern seas and Southern region.
Data analysis, meteorological experts said that it is likely that the low pressure will strengthen into a storm. The area that directly affects is the whole region of Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ca Mau, from Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Phu Quoc and the entire southern region.
"In the next two to three days, the tropical convergence band will continue to grow, so the days of October and early November HCM City and the whole South will rain much. If the storms and tropical low pressures are formed, the intensity is not strong. Very, but the level of danger is also very serious , "the expert said.
"Although the ability to form storms, tropical towers still have to be monitored, they are not subjective. 20 years ago, Typhoon Linda was not strong at first but in 36 hours the wind from level 6 increased to level 11. As a result, nearly 3,000 people died and disappeared, damaged many properties, and if we are subjective now, we will not be able to hand over, " he warned.
