On the evening of July 16, the storm is forecasted to be about 190km / h east of the southeast of Hai Phong - Nghe An coast, the strongest wind is 75km / h (level 8). Dangerous areas for boats are from latitudes 15.5 - 19.5 degrees; West meridian 113.5 degrees.

The circulation of the following tropical depression strengthens into a storm which will cause heavy rain for the whole North and North Central region with a total of 200-300mm; Particularly, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and some northern mountainous provinces can be up to 400 mm. Therefore, delta provinces need to prevent widespread flooding; mountain areas to prevent flash floods and landslides.

The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control last night sent electricity to provinces from Ninh Binh to Khanh Hoa to closely monitor the development of tropical depressions; and at the same time, tally and keep regular information and guide owners of boats to avoid dangerous areas.

The provinces in the northern mountainous region and the Red River Delta actively take measures to respond to flash floods, landslides and plans to ensure downstream safety in the case of flood discharge reservoirs.

If it strengthens into a storm, this will be the second storm of the year. According to meteorological agencies, the rainy season in 2017 has about 13-15 storms and tropical depressions operating in the East Sea, more than the average of previous years (12 attacks). In which 3-4 landings, directly affecting the land of Vietnam, concentrated in Central Vietnam.
