These keychains are sold on the roadside, at stations and subways throughout China.
Live creatures are stocked in plastic bags about 7cm long and each is sold for 10 yuan (1.5USD).
Salespeople claim that the special liquid inside the plastic bag provides oxygen and nutrients to the organisms.
However, experts say they won't last long.
Animal protection groups call these key chains 'animal abuse' and call authorities to issue a ban immediately.
