Unmanned trains in Russia

Russia is running tests on the streets of the capital of Moscow unmanned electric vehicles at speeds not exceeding 60km / h.

In this new tram compartment, there are no familiar silhouettes of ticket agents and riders. Unmanned electric vehicles are remote controlled, the sensors determine station stops for passengers down, obstacles and traffic lights.

Unmanned trains are closely monitored through GLONASS and cameras installed inside and outside the cabin. GLONASS reports the tram is approaching the station and preparing to stop. The computer sends the signal to the braking system to stop at the right time. The doors are equipped with special scanners. The scanner reacts to the body heat of the passenger, so the door does not close when the passenger has not finished or leave the train.

A new point is that passengers have to buy tickets from under the berth because there are no ticket staff on board. The new tram interior is very modern and quiet. The car is gentle, careful and the passenger does not feel the slightest bump.

It is interesting to not only follow the traffic rules, but also help the police monitor the situation with the cameras attached to the train. So drivers should not be surprised if they receive a traffic lawsuit.
