The US military is planning to re-test the X-51A Waverider unmanned supersonic aircraft after its latest unsuccessful test on Aug. 15.

The next test will be conducted next year, the Air Force said. The X-51A, manufactured by Boeing, is a 3.600mph aircraft that is six times faster than sound and operates thanks to the support of B-52 bombers.
In the third test two months ago, the control error caused the X-51A to crash into the Pacific Ocean. Soon after, a survey was conducted, but no defective software or engine was detected. Cause can be caused by random vibration.
However, the X-51A will continue to be tested in order to develop a weapon that will help the US military to suppress worldwide targets as quickly as possible.
